Vaios Bolgouras is a Researcher and PhD student at the Digital Systems department, University of Piraeus. His area of expertise focuses on network security and authentication, but is not limited there as it also includes a deep understanding of privacy issues and the corresponding regulations. Vaios has worked at the reputable consulting firm PWC as part of a team that focused on preparing businesses to comply with the requirements set by the GDPR and ISO 27001. Vaios also has programming tutoring experience in a private school. He currently is a Cyber Security Analyst at Neurosoft and part of the research program SealedGRID, where he is working on the research and development of authentication and key management schemes related to Smart Grid ecosystems. Vaios got his Bachelor and Masters degree from the Digital Systems department, University of Piraeus in 2015 and 2018 respectively, focusing on the educational and security aspect of ICT. He also holds the ISO 27001:2013 certification.
