Farnaz Mohammadi was born in Tehran. She studied Computer Software Engineering and attained her master degree in Computer Science/ Intelligent Systems. She gained over 10 years of experience later in security and access control systems development, maintenance and deployment while she worked as a technical team member in an Iranian-Swedish company. In addition to her technical skills, she was later promoted to the technical team manager and assisted the technical support as a security system consultant. Currently, she is a Ph.D. researcher in the Department of Digital Systems and a member of the Systems Security Laboratory (SSL) under the supervision of Prof. Xenakis. Her research interest is focused on the field of Risk management, Cyber Security (mobile/wireless network security), and machine learning.
